Someone in our community could really use your help. A lady had her house burn down a while back. Her name is Chineka Sanders and as you can imagine its a huge financial loss and I’m not sure how she’s coping. My family would love to help but with the economy as is we just can’t right now. Anything you can do would be hugely appreciated I’m sure!

Go to the cafeteria at St. Vincent's East and pay for some meals for persons with loved one's hospitalized. Alot of them are tired, stressed, sad & afraid. I know the financial toll it has on them just to stay nourished while their loved ones are hospitalized. The food is really good, but can be expensive if you have to eat three meals a day and alot of them come through several days in a row. I know this would ease their burden just a bit and that would be a good thing.

Bring healthy dinners to night shift workers! For example, night shift staff at a local hospital. They often get left out since most goodies are given away during daytime. The night crew usually gets unhealthy re-heatable things! It'd be great!

The Backpack Buddy Program for Shelby County Schools - The Central Office makes bags of food for students who may not have food over the weekend/holidays. We're actually having another bake sale tomorrow, but this is a wonderful project - there are so many wonderful projects out there though. You guys are really helping people when they need it most...kudos!!! :)
